Abstract

In recent years, unprecedented crises have become part of the lives of the children living in our country. Just think of the period of the pandemic or the Ukrainian-Russian conflict that began in 2022. Although the situation caused by the Covid epidemic is passing, due to the situation escalating in our neighbourhood, in the recent months, students may have been facing the war crisis situation and its consequences on a daily basis. The effects of war can not only affect children’s behaviour or academic results, but can also shape the community life of school. In order to mitigate these negative consequences, both refugee children and the students at the receiving schools must be prepared by the teachers to deal with the crisis situation. Young people and their family members experiencing the conflict may have to face several factors that threaten their mental balance, which can affect their mental and social health in the long term. In this article, we present studies related to crisis management, as well as outline a practical toolkit that teachers can use to help their students and family members effectively manage crisis situations.
