Abstract

This paper explores the potential implications and advantages of making use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addressing language learning difficulties. It starts off by inspecting the forms of language learning and the associated difficulties students may have. The paper then shifts its focus to the connections between AI and language learning, highlighting the benefits presented by AI. Further, our investigation evaluates specific AI-based solutions which could help in overcoming language learning difficulties, such as grammatical knowledge, speech recognition technology, adaptive learning systems, and the use of gamification. Case studies and research findings are provided to evaluate the efficacy of AI in managing language-learning difficulties. The pedagogical implications and prospects of utilizing AI are also mentioned. Finally, we summarize key findings and offer suggestions for similar research and development avenues.
