Abstract

This narrative documentary study gives a deeper insight to a university tenure track of the third Department of Education at the University of Pozsony, which took place 105 years ago. Gyula Kornis’s, Ernő Fináczy’s, István Schneller’s and Bernát Alexander’s game played an important role in the evaluation of Sándor Imre’s and Ödön Weszely’s proposals. This process was largely formed by nationality politics, educational- and cultural aspects; and naturally personal interests and motives.
