Abstract

Newer and newer solutions for satisfying needs are constantly emerging in the form of different products, services and processes. The acceleration of the diffusion of innovation due to technological developments and changes in market requirements is reflected in the innovation needs of companies. We prepared a survey on the success of product development projects, mainly in trades selling staple foods, using an importance-satisfaction matrix. Analysis of the importance and satisfaction rankings shows that respondents generally support pricing and marketing changes that would also improve marketability. In addition, it is encouraging that the products were evaluated positively from the other seven examination aspects (colour, marking, texture, shelf life, weight, taste, packaging).
