Information For Librarians
nCognito: Papers in Cognitive Cultural Studies is a publication of the Cognitive Poetics Research Group at the University of Szeged. Founded in 2014, the Group aims to inform the scientific community about progress in cognitive cultural studies in Hungary, and to provide a forum for broad exchange of ideas. The Cognitive Poetics Research Group's collaborative work focuses on studying literary and fictional texts, films, and other media-related lyrical, dramatic, or narrative works from a cognitive perspective. The group aims to communicate Hungarian and international findings in English, which is particularly important given the rapid evolution of cognitive cultural studies as an internationally acclaimed academic field since the 2010s. As an increasing number of scholars in the social sciences and humanities faculties at Hungarian universities are engaged in researching cognitive media, literary and film theories, we aim to bring together Hungarian representatives of cognitive and evolutionary aesthetic theories as well as promoting these approaches by communicating international and Hungarian developments in this versatile field of investigation.
